Essential oils and Epsom salts have played an important part in holistic healing for a variety of different cultures over centuries. All around the globe people were discovering the benefits of using essential oils for; medicine, cosmetics, and religious services.
Epsom salts are equally known throughout the world and used for an even larger variety of things. Some examples of uses are gardening, a detoxifier, household cleaner, a sleep aid, and its anti-inflammatory properties. These soaking Epsom salts are great:

Essential oils can be added into an Epsom salt bath. The oils pair nicely and can intensify the relaxation of the soak. The oils can also be beneficial to the skin in this way because, in a hot bath, the body’s natural oils are removed. In addition, essential oils can also be diffused.

Diffusing oils allow you to benefit from the oils still as well your home or office will also to benefit from them. I usually always have my diffuser on while I’m home. I typically change out the oils every day depending on my mood. There are 8 staple essential oils everyone should have:
- Lavender
- Tea tree
- Peppermint
- Frankincense
- Lemongrass
- Eucalyptus
- Orange
- Rosemary

I purchased both my oils and diffuser on Amazon but they are both sold in a variety of retailers. Sometimes, I just use one at a time but I usually will diffuse two or three oils together. Lemongrass mixed with equal drops of orange and frankincense together makes for a vibrant energizing scent. At nighttime, I mix tea tree oil and lavender to really promote rejuvenating slumber. If I am feeling under the weather, I mix eucalyptus, rosemary, and peppermint together-I have noticed this combination makes a huge difference if I am suffering from congestion.
Epson salts and essential oils are thankfully very accessible and in most cases very affordable. There are many different uses for both products aside from the ones I have mentioned above. There are many different variations of its uses and please be encouraged to try whatever you think may work for you, whether it’s my suggestions or your own experimentation. I have listed the exact products I mentioned above and use in my everyday life.
