“We’ve turned an old 40’ shipping container into a remarkable resource for women and girls at the SEA in St. John.”
Angela D. Coleman, Sisterhood Agenda Founding President
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. We started with an idea of the SEA, Sisterhood Empowerment Academy, as an oceanfront, eco-friendly, empowering space for women’s health and healing in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.
After searching for over one year, we found the perfect land parcel and secured the blueprints, the permits, and funding from generous donors like you. We began construction with abundant blessings.
It is amazing what we have been able to build in nine months. We are almost done. We can see the bright light at the end of the tunnel- it’s the finish line!
Sisterhood Agenda is a champion of positive social change for women and girls around the globe. With eco suites, indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, a library, media room, organic gardens and more, the SEA is an innovative, trauma-informed approach to sisterhood, women’s support, empowerment, and sustainability.
Phases 1-6 are completed and Phase 7, the last phase, is underway. Our grand opening is scheduled for this summer. You will hear your name when we thank our donors because YOU made this possible. We are in this together.
Can we count on your support for 2016 as we finish what we started? Your donation today in any amount, large or small, would mean A LOT. Also, feel free to share this information with friends who may want to join our team and celebrate the successful completion of SEA construction in St. John.
