BrotherCamp Summer Enrichment Program is here! Many of Sisterhood Agenda’s SisterCamp Summer Enrichment Program participants in the Baltimore metropolitan area have brothers and we are happy to step in-this important cause cannot be ignored.
What is BrotherCamp?
BrotherCamp is a summer enrichment program for boys derived from the same evidence-based, educational, support, and empowerment strategies that make our SisterCamp Summer Enrichment Program successful.
With BrotherCamp, we as young men teach and mentor the youth group of boys.
Learning things such as culture, and how to treat one another as brothers, they learn things such as” what is a brother” and “what does a brother do?”
Most of all, they learn how to honor who they are, their families, and their communities, and how to be the best version of themselves.
Different activities such as art, athletics, culture, and many more are included. In BrotherCamp Summer Enrichment Program, young boys learn and are mentored as they are growing up, going from boy to young man, and as they grow into manhood.
What does it mean to be a brother?
Being a brother is much more than just being a good friend.
Being a good brother requires patience, respect, prosperity, and so much more.
Being a brother has a bigger meaning behind it than most people think. It comes with things that you must do that not a lot of people are willing to do. Becoming a brother may be harder for some people than for others, yet we all can become a brother at heart.
Being and becoming a brother is not something that can be accomplished by simply being a better person:
Being a good brother includes being able to uplift your fellow brothers and being able to help us all thrive with individual and collective greatness.
Even if that greatness is past your own, being able to say you’re a brother means that even if a fellow brother thrives more than you, you are not jealous or upset that you’re not in their spot. Instead, you’re happy and proud of that brother for thriving to greatness and beyond expectations. All of this and more can be accomplished with participation in BrotherCamp Summer Enrichment Program, where boys can turn into young men, and thrive toward greatness.
