We know that self-care and your immune system are holistically related.

Life in the 21st century has become incredibly fast-paced, and we tend to devote all our time to worldly matters without focusing on ourselves. It is crucial that we take out time to nurture our body and soul because if we spend all time working, we will be left burnt out and exhausted!

Self-love is even more important since the COVID pandemic began, so today we’ll share a few tips to keep you happy and healthy in this challenging time.

Mental health

Focus on your mental health. Add stability, fun, and joy to your life every day, whenever possible.  Surround yourself with caring and uplifting people who add value to your life and who can function as a source of support when you need them most.  Reducing stress will keep your immune system fully functional.

Exercise

Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. You may go for a brisk walk or jo Not only will you get fresh air and sunlight, but you will stay strong and fit. Exercise helps to keep the body healthy and keeps the immune system strong. This is especially important in this pandemic as a strong immune system will prevent you from getting sick.

Sleep

Get at least 8 hours of sleep every night, as sleep and a strong immune system go hand in hand. It is important that you get quality sleep, so try to establish a healthy nighttime routine that will enable you to get a peaceful night’s sleep every time. It is crucial that you stop using your phone a few hours before bedtime, and dim the lights so your body can produce the hormones needed for sleep.

Diet

Try to incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet. This will keep your immune system healthy and your body will see the positive effects.

Vitamins

Add a multivitamin to your daily routine. Even though we get a lot of vitamins and minerals from our diet, a deficiency of any of these may lead to a weakened immune system. The most important ingredients to look for are Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Z, all of which are incredibly important for the immune system. Not only will they prevent you from getting sick, but a multivitamin will also have beneficial effects on your skin and body.

If you follow these tips and devote a few minutes of your time to self-care every day,  you will be rewarded with a great immune system. Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you!
