Fun Activities To Do At Home During Quarantine

We’ve searched for fun activities to do at home during quarantine because it has been a while and it goes without saying that, as we stay in longer and longer,  you might run out of fun things to do.

Let’s kill boredom with these fun activities!

    1. Learn how to properly style and cut hair

Since it’s quarantine, there are no salons and barbershops open.  Of course, you’d still want to look good even if you’re just at home.

So why not learn how to properly style and cut hair? You can cut your partner’s hair, yours, and your kids.

In addition to being a fun bonding time, it’s also challenging, and most of all, FUN!

2. Pull out your art supplies and start fun activities

Do you have art supplies hidden somewhere? Put them out and draw something, color, or paint. This could be anything, like pens, pencils, and markers.  You could sit on your front porch and draw your favorite plant.

3.  Set a Netflix Party with your friends

This is a Google Chrome extension that lets you watch Netflix content with your friends simultaneously. There is even a chatbox at the sidebar and you can discuss the movie you’re watching with your friends.

4. Send care packages to your loved ones that are far from you

This could be a bag of snacks, their favorite tea, essential oils, scented candles or soap, and a handwritten card telling them you remember them.

We all need a hug right now but we just can’t.  So why not send a care package instead?

5. Open a shared dropbox with your friends or family

You can save articles, photos, songs, or anything that you want to share with them.

6. Try photography

You can do this even with your camera phone. Explore camera tricks on YouTube and apply it. This could be artistic photos, out of this world selfies, panorama, anything!

It’s fun and it can take your social media game up a notch!

7. Teach your pets some tricks

If you have a pet dog or a cat now is the time to teach them cool tricks!

8. Read new ebooks

You don’t have to go out to buy new books, you can buy them online.

Knowledge is power and it’s always an advantage to learn something new and educate yourself.

9. Create an Instagram account that’s aesthetically pleasing

Have you seen an influencer’s Instagram account? It’s aesthetically pleasing with a color theme, such as hues of pink, tangerine, and more.

Well, guess what? You can do that, too!

10. Learn fun activities such as arts and crafts, crochet, paint by numbers, crystals, or Swarovski painting.

Delivery is still not suspended and you can still order online in many places. You can buy some crochet materials or paint-by-number kits to paint like a pro (but with a number guide).

Crystal Swarovski painting uses crystals as colors instead of paint.  It’s lovely, especially when it glistens when light reflects on it.

11. Do nail art using tutorials

Have you always wanted to do artistic nail designs? You can learn to do them now at home!

12. Enroll in an online course

There are many discounted online classes. In fact, some are even FREE right now.

There are Free Harvard online courses, for example. Do you want to improve your job?  Do you want to learn a new skill or change careers entirely?  Now is the best time to learn.

13. Paint your plain shirts as a canvas

Who knows, this could even be a future business!  Do you have any white shirts or plain colored shirts? Use them as a canvas to paint or tie-dye them.

14. Create bead jewelry

Creating bead jewelry will surely keep you occupied. So many types of beads, materials, and colors…
