International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year’s International Women’s Day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is gender parity:
Partner with other women’s groups who “get it” and know that we must do this together to be successful.
Encourage men to support sisterhood and gender equality.
Donate to established organizations that are addressing important gender issues on a daily basis.
Accept that change can take time while acknowledging the bursts of positive social change and expanding consciousness about gender and humanity, in general.
