Look classy without taking a huge chunk out of your bank account!

Are you the type of woman who buys clothes in-season? Or are you a frugal type who buys classic wear that never goes out of style no matter what season it is?

There’s nothing wrong with either!

But if you’re a person who has a lot of other priorities at hand, it would be quite impractical to spend a fortune on clothes, just to look presentable.

If you still want to look classy and elegant but don’t want to break the bank, you came to the right place because this is what this article is all about.

Wear black

Black is always classy.  It’s safe yet edgy and it’s elegant. Have a go-to black dress. Pair it with a blazer to make it formal.  Wear sandals and a hat to make it more casual.

For example, this black asymmetrical dress is simple, elegant, and undeniably classy.

Explore neutral colors

It doesn’t mean you’re no fun when you wear neutral colors.  A neutral palette gives off the impression that you are “put together.” The fabric matters a lot, too.

You can never go wrong with silk and chiffon.  Get this chic top from Amazon:

Adding a blazer to any ensemble elevates your overall appearance instantly.

You don’t have to spend a lot to look royal. In fact, you can get an affordable blazer here on Amazon.

Just make sure you have the size right for you, that it is not too loose so it won’t look sloppy.

Make sure your clothes fit well

As mentioned above, wearing the proper fit of clothes will make you look snappy, not sloppy.

It will look like what you’re wearing isn’t something you’ve borrowed.  There’s nothing wrong with borrowing clothes.  However, with a good fit, you will look like you’ve thought about what you’re wearing.  A good fit means no loose-fitting garments or excess fabric.

Don’t skip the lip color

Red lipstick on a white or black ensemble looks bold and elegant.

The lipstick completes the symmetry of your face and the makeup look. You will definitely look classy with a bold red lip color.

Ruby Woo by Mac is an all-time classic.  If you want to stay on a budget, there are drugstore brands you can count on such as Maybelline, Revlon, and Loreal. Red, Nude, and Peach are classy and safe lipstick colors.

Go for a neatly tied bun.  If your hair is shorter, apply hairspray to make your hair stay put no matter what you’re doing.

Shop offseason and visit thrift stores

Be practical by buying classic wardrobe pieces that won’t’ go out of style. It’s not a crime to wear off-season clothes. And you’ll never know what amazing things you can find in the thrift store! It’s a gold-mine for shoppers with patience.

Look classy by wearing sunglasses! And do not underestimate the power of a crisp white shirt.

You can do anything with a white tee and still look fabulous. Pair it with jeans, trousers, heels, sandals, and/or a blazer. This one essential thing should always always be in your closet!

And don’t forget the sunglasses, of course.  Sunglasses make you look sophisticated! Grab a cool pair here on Amazon:

Less is more

Wear minimal makeup.  Wear only a few pieces of jewelry such as your watch, necklace, and earrings. When you buy quality clothes instead of quantity, you can just mix and match.  The good news is it won’t take so much of your closet space!

Hang them, steam, and iron them before wearing them for maximum impact.
