Do you prioritize your own happiness?
Being happy and taking care of yourself not only has a positive impact on your own well-being. The positive impact also extends to those around you.
When you prioritize your happiness and well-being, you become a source of inspiration and positivity for yourself and others.
What makes you smile?
When we’re happy, we often smile. When you prioritize your own happiness, you are more likely to smile a lot! One way to find and choose the right path to happiness is by identifying the activities and experiences that bring you joy and fulfillment. This could be anything from pursuing a hobby or passion, spending quality time with loved ones, or engaging in self-care practices such as meditation or exercise.
Find what makes you smile and do it often!
By investing time and energy into these activities, you are bringing radiant light and positive energy into your life.
Help others
When you prioritize your own happiness this does not mean that you don’t help other people. It’s the opposite!
How many times have we heard that we need to put on our own oxygen masks first before we help others?
I can only help you because I know how to help myself first. For example, your close friend may be going through a difficult time. She may be feeling overwhelmed and stressed out. Because you prioritize your own happiness and take care of yourself, your well is full enough to help her.
INCORPORATE THE ART OF CHILLING OUT
Increase self-awareness
You prioritize your own happiness when you become more self-aware. To discover the right path to your unique concept of happiness, it is important to be mindful of your own needs and desires. Finding what makes you smile involves self-reflection and introspection.
We don’t always know and understand what truly brings us joy and fulfillment, especially if we are used to prioritizing other people over ourselves.
Don’t worry. These activities all increase your level of self-awareness. Be patient in your process and you can figure it out.
Be willing to adjust
When you prioritize your own happiness, you may be required to make changes or adjustments in your life to align with your new happiness values and self-priority mindset.
Remember: when you prioritize your own happiness, it is not selfish. In fact, it is an act of self-love and self-care that ultimately serves to maximize your full potential.
I refer to this as coming into your destiny.
By taking care of yourself, you are better equipped to show up as your best self in all areas of your life.
HOW TO BE HAPPY
Be a role model
In addition, you prioritize your own happiness when you serve as a role model for your friends, colleagues, and others. Your positive energy and outlook on life can inspire and uplift them, showing them that it is possible to navigate challenging situations with resilience and grace.
We know (and research has proven) that there is a ripple effect when it comes to happiness. When one person in your circles is happier, the people they are connected to also experience an increase in happiness. This means that by taking care of yourself and finding happiness, you are not only benefiting yourself but also creating a positive impact on the emotional well-being of those around you.
