What is Lunch with Lindsey?
Designed to offer the community a behind-the-scenes look at the impactful work that they do, this series is a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired. Mark your calendars for Friday, March 1, 2024, at 12:30 PM, as they dive into the heart of our SHINE Grantmaking initiative.
This session promises to be especially enlightening, featuring a conversation with Lindsey Baker, our esteemed Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member Soo Koo. They will be joined by the 2024 SHINE recipients, Sisterhood Agenda, and the Chinese American Parent Association of Howard County, represented by Director of Development and External Affairs, Jean Xu.

Lindsey Baker is a passionate, action-oriented non-profit leader focused on community engagement, racial equity, transparency, and inclusivity.
Lindsey leads institutional change at Maryland Humanities by asking tough questions, running efficient meetings, and smashing goal lists, while specializing in engaging everyone at the table, learning from her mistakes, quoting Vu Lee, and challenging the status quo.

There will be more Lunch with Lindsey opportunities in the future. The foundation encourages new applicants to contact them to find out more. Previously known as SHINE Grant Program, Maryland Humanities has renamed it the Marilyn Hatza SHINE Grant Program. It only felt right to pay tribute to Maryland Humanities’ late Director of Grants and Community Engagement, Marilyn Hatza, in this way.
